Aarogya Setu app is designed to keep an user informed in case he/she is near someone who is unwell or has reported corona positive . This is done through Bluetooth and location sharing
Once the app has been installed you are required to keep the bluetooth and location turned on. Keep location sharing turned on always ( this can be changed later )
The user is asked to answer a number of questions. In case some of the answers suggest Covid symptoms, the information will be sent to a government server. The data will then help the government take timely steps and initiate the isolation procedure, if necessary.
If you have installed the app and kept bluetooth and location sharing on , then you shall be alerted when someone whom you know unknowingly turns covid positive .
The app sends alerts and is aided with instructions on how to self-isolate and what to do in case you develop symptoms.
