Rain for some eastern areas, but mainly dry elsewhere (27|03|20)

We have some weekend rain developing in the east of both islands but it’s only a narrow area. Elsewhere high pressure is expanding with just a few isolated showers.

As we head into next week it’s more of the same - wet weather mainly in the east between Kaikoura and southern Hawke’s Bay and and high pressure growing elsewhere. There may be a few showers in Northland but nothing too significant.
