The Christian church didn't get started as an institution with church buildings, organ music, and a bunch of hierarchical denominations. It started as a movement. The movement was a gathering around the idea that this person Jesus, the Son of God and Saviour was once dead and now He is alive. This movement would eventually become known as The Church. Well, the church is big and it's still moving. Let's talk about it so we can think and re-think what we think about Church!
