Bhavani Ashtakam is a hymn composed by Adi Shankaracharya. It is about taking refuge in Goddess Bhavani. The saying goes, if you cannot look out, look into your inside. The God will definitely answer your prayers and removes all pains and sufferings. Bhavani Ashtakam is a very powerful Mantra for stress relief and inner healing.
The stotram/Mantra with its literature and meaning in Telugu is given hereunder:

న తాతో న మాతా న బంధుర్నదాతా
న పుత్రో న పుత్రీ న భృత్యో న భర్తా
న జాయా న విద్యా న వృత్తిర్ మమైవ
గతిస్త్వం గతిస్త్వం త్వమేకా భవానీ
తండ్రి,తల్లి,బంధువులు,స్నేహితులు,దాతలు,పుత్రుడు,పుత్రిక,సేవకుడు,భర్త,భార్య,విద్య, ఇవేమీ నన్ను రక్షించలేవీ. నాకు రక్షకురాలవు నీవే భవానీ.


భవాబ్ధావపారే మహాదుఃఖభీరు
పపాత ప్రకామీ ప్రలోభీ ప్రమత్తః
కుసంసారపాశ ప్రబధ్ధః సదాహం
గతిస్త్వం గతిస్త్వం త్వమేకా భవానీ
దుఖభరితమైన,భయంకరమైన, అనంతమైన ఈ సంసార సాగరంలో మాకు దిక్కు కేవలం నీవు మాత్రమే మాతా.


నజానామి దానం న చ ధ్యానయోగం
నజానామి తంత్రం నచ స్తోత్ర మంత్రం
నజానామి పూజాం నచ న్యాసయోగం
గతిస్త్వం గతిస్త్వం త్వమేకా భవానీ
దానం చేయటం,ధ్యానము,యోగము,మంత్ర తంత్ర ప్రార్థనలు,పూజా విధులు తెలియని నాకు కేవలం నీవు మాత్రమే దిక్కు మాతా.

నజానామి పుణ్యం నజానామి తీర్థం
నజానామి ముక్తిమ్ లయంవా కదాచిత్
నజానామి భక్తిమ్ వ్రతం వాపి మాతః
గతిస్త్వం గతిస్త్వం త్వమేకా భవానీ
పుణ్యకార్యములు, తీర్థ యాత్రలు,భక్తి,ముక్తి,ఆధ్యాత్మిక విషయ జ్నానం లేని నాకు దిక్కు కేవలం నీవే కదా తల్లీ.

కుకర్మీ కుసంగీ కుబుధ్ధిహి కుదాసః
కులాచారహీనః కదాచారలీనః
కుదృష్టిహి కువాక్యప్రబంధహ్ సదాహం
గతిస్త్వం గతిస్త్వం త్వమేకా భవానీ
చెడు సంస్కారాలకు, చెడు నడతకు, చెడు స్నేహాలకు, చెడు ఆలోచనలకు, చెడు కార్యములకు లోనై, చెడు బుధ్ధులకు అలవాటుపడిన నన్ను రక్షించగలిగినది కేవలం నీవే కదా మాతా.

ప్రజేశం రమేశం మహేశం సురేశం
దినేశం నిశీధేశ్వరం నా కదాచిత్
నజానామి చాన్యత్ సదాహం శరణ్యే
గతిస్త్వం గతిస్త్వం త్వమేకా భవానీ
త్రిమూర్తులైన బ్రహ్మ,విష్ణు,మహేశ్వరులను గురించి ఇంద్ర,సూర్య చంద్రాది దేవతల గురించి నాకు తెలియదు. నాకు దిక్కు నీవేనని మాత్రం తెలుసుకున్నాను.

వివాదే విషాదే ప్రమాదే ప్రవాసే
జలేచానలే సర్వతే శత్రు మధ్యే
అరణ్యే శరణ్యే సదా మాం ప్రపాహి
గతిస్త్వం గతిస్త్వం త్వమేకా భవానీ
వివాదాలలో కానీ, విషాదసమయంలో కానీ,నిరాశా నిస్పృహలలో కానీ,జలమధ్యంలో,అగ్నిజ్వాలలలో కానీ, శత్రుమధ్యంలో కానీ, అడవులలో కానీ చిక్కుకున్నప్పుడు కానీ, మాకు దిక్కు నీవు తప్ప ఎవరు ఉన్నారు తల్లీ.

అనాథో దరిద్రో జరారోగయుక్తో
మహాక్షీణదీనః సదా జాడ్యవక్త్రః
విపత్తౌ ప్రవిష్ఠః ప్రనష్టః సదాహం
గతిస్త్వం గతిస్త్వం త్వమేకా భవానీ
నిస్సహాయుడనై,అనాధుడనై,దిక్కులేని, దిక్కు తోచని పరిస్థితులలో చిక్కుకుని విలవిలలాడుతున్న నన్ను కరుణతో రక్షించమని ప్రార్థిస్తున్నాను.
