Running Jump Rope as a substitute for Running

Running Jump Rope as a substitute for Running Due to COVID-19 a lot of coaching has turned to Zoom calls and Facebook live videos which involves the participant staying in front of a computer screen. Traditionally, many CrossFit workouts incorporate running which can’t be done in front of a computer.

Consider this alternative: RUNNING JUMP ROPE. Here are our recommended parameters:

30 seconds of running jump rope = 100m
OR
40-50 running jumps (1 rep being left and right).

Working on round numbers, 2 minutes for a 400 metre run or 200 running jump rope turns.

Consider this next time you’re doing programming. Running jump rope is a great substitute to keep your members in front of the computer and maintain some continuity in your “regular” programming.
