Overlaying interlocking circle pattern on image in GIMP

This is avery specific, probably not super widely useful tutorial for a project I was helping someone figure out. Hopefully someone finds this useful for something!
Correction: The circle was about 60x60, not 24x24, i was looking at the position not the size, but you get the idea.
