A More or Less Perfect Union: Driving While Black

In 1992, Roger Wilkins, a Maryland Public Defender, and his cousin were pulled over for speeding. Instead of a simple ticket, they were held until their car could be searched. They later sued, stating they had been targeted because they were black.
