We have a tendency to worry a lot about things we have no control over. Focussing on things outside of your control can easily make you feel overwhelmed, especially if you have a tendency to become consumed in thoughts about all the things that COULD GO WRONG, all the things that AREN’T RIGHT in your life and how powerless you feel…
It’s not helpful, and only leads to feeling worse. In short, worrying is pointless.
In fact, a 2005 study found that 85% of what we worry about, never happens!
So instead, make a conscious decision to stick with what’s within your control. Make choices. Be grateful for what you have. Seek support if you need it. And take considered action.
