{DON'T WAKE UP THE NEPHILIM={FALLEN GIANTS}

My brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. James 1:2-4 (NLT)

#RestingWithNephilimGiants

Slumbering~NEPHILIM~Giants- Something that is powerful, but NOT dangerous until They are provoked.

We all have GIANTS in our lives, some are raising havoc while others lie dormant until provoked so we call them sleeping giants. They do not give us cause for concern as of yet, BUT when we start to do things that will awaken them, we must begin to seek God for strength over them just like those individuals whose giants are actively causing problems in their lives. Let's explore some of these giants; sex (though I'm not sure this one is actually sleeping), alcoholism, lying, gluttony, perversion, anger, gossip, etc. and please be mindful we often awaken these atrocities by nurturing them and giving them what they seek....daily. Remember, anything you feed or nurture WILL GROW. However, those things that we starve will eventually diminish in power and lay dormant.

When I was a child I'd often hear preachers teach from Proverbs 6:27; Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes and not be burned? (KJV) From their teachings, I automatically thought it was an impossible task, BUT as I became more seasoned in the word of God, (and life) I understood that this scripture was simply asking a question. Therefore it was meant for self examination and self awareness which is; conscious knowledge of one's own character, feelings, motives, and desires. Because what one person can handle another may not, and for that reason one should NOT play with fire, and test their boundaries! The struggle is REAL, but all things are not a struggle for everyone. It's up to us to know specifically what our giants are. If you once struggled with perversion and God has delivered you that means that GIANT is NOW sleeping, NOT GONE.

The enemy never completely leaves us, remember how he tried to tempt Christ (Luke 4:13)? Therefore, why would you start tampering around with sin again; (I.e, pornography sites, watching it on television or buying magazines)? AGAIN, your giant(s) are sleeping, NOT dead! If you were once an alcoholic, it would be unwise for you to go into a bar, for ANY reason or to buy anything with alcoholic content or if sex was (or is) your kryptonite... I think you get the picture. Remember a sleeping GIANT is something FIERCE, but it's real POWER is not revealed, UNTIL it’s PROVOKED. We don't have to prove to anyone, not even ourselves how STRONG we are.

The Bible instructs us, in 1 Corinthians 10:12; Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall (KJV). As Paul cautions us in Romans 12:3; For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you NOT to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned (ESV). Sometime the greatest strength, is admitting when we are weak. God is always there to lift us up through our failures and our frailties, but it starts with acknowledgment. Finally, Paul again tells us in that following verse (1 Corinthians 10:13;) There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God IS faithful, who will NOT suffer you t
