Protests broke out in a quiet neighborhood outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin Wednesday after news broke that the police officer who killed teenager Alvin Cole last February would not be charged in his death. As protesters made their way across lawns and grew increasingly unruly, homeowners pleaded with them to keep protests peaceful. Police in Wauwatosa fired pepper balls and launched tear gas to try and disperse the crowd, as some protesters spray painted buildings and smashed store windows.
