India braces for onslaught of mosquito-borne illnesses amid COVID-19

With hospitals already severely stretched, COVID-hit India is now bracing for monsoon season and the deadly annual illnesses it brings. Public health workers started fumigating neighborhoods to kill disease-carrying mosquitoes on May 16, two months later than usual due to the coronavirus pandemic.
