A Jewish Understanding of the Bible - Part 1, with Joel D. Weinberg

A Jewish Understanding of the Bible - Part 1, with Joel D. Weinberg How would Jesus have understood the Bible and how would His teaching have been understood?

We all read the Bible, but our understanding of the Bible is influenced by our beliefs, preconceptions and inclinations. We need to ask ourselves, how would the Bible have been studied in the time of Jesus and how did He understand and interpret it?

The following two talks will be geared toward trying to understand the Bible as Jesus the Jew would have and how that understanding was received by His followers.

Joel D. Weinberg is a Rabbinical Jew who is dedicated to teaching the New Testament to Jews and Judaism to Christians. He is well trained in Biblical interpretations, Theology, and Middle Eastern affairs (MA from Hebrew University - Jerusalem). He was a guest lecturer on the topic of Judaism at Lund University (Sweden), Harvard University (USA), University of Oxford (UK) and many other renowned universities around the world.
