Directions:
Accurately measure your space
Draw a template
Transfer template to melamine
Tape edges of template
Cut and assemble your form
Apply silicone caulk to all edges with a fondant tool
Mix concrete with water until it is the consistency of a thick milkshake
Add concrete to your form, filling it halfway
Pound it in tight
Add rebar
Finish filling your form with Concrete
Use an orbital sander to remove air bubbles
Place your form on two long boards,
Have one person on each end grab these long boards and shake firmly
With a flat trowel, move any extra sludge to the front of your form
Allow to dry for 24 hours then remove side of form
Let dry for another 48 hours before putting your countertop in place
Seal your countertop for optimal performance- I prefer a matte finish sealer, but if you want a shiny look use a glossy finish.
These are just basic concrete countertops. You can get fancy and make them different colors and add different patterns, but these are just for basic grey ones!
