Coronavirus - Support and Kindness with Clinical Psychologist Dr Michelle Lim

Coronavirus - Support and Kindness with Clinical Psychologist Dr Michelle Lim During this period, it’s really important for us to support each other, show care, be alert but also be kind.
So it’s positive social support where we can really engage other people in making sure that they are OK so it’s not just a superficial level kind of talking but really just checking in with how they are feeling, whether they are doing OK, whether they need anything.
And it’s really important for us to show kindness but also be alert. So making sure that we actually take the normal safety precautions for ourselves. And it’s really, really important for us to show compassion to those who really need it. So it might be that we give way to people at a supermarket, it might be that we actually call a friend … It might be that we actually check in on our elderly parents.
These little steps will go a long way to actually make people feel better.
